Instructions: 1. Create a new project of type console app.
              2. Add all supplied .c files to project.
              3. In linker settings, add wsock32.lib.
              4. In the include\sys directory on your compiler (e.g.
                 c:\Program files\MSDEV\include\sys) copy timeb.h to time.h.
(This little trick allows me to avoid having to modify
every single source file of ROM, which makes it far easier
for to combine the port with other customizations and add-ons.)
              5. Build the app.
              6. Place the executable into your ROM24\area directory,
along with a cmd batch file according to your taste and run.

Notes: I ported ROM24 to NT for my own use in testing and debugging code I
write for a linux-based MUD. I am sharing my modifications with the
rest of the world on an as-is basis with no warranty or promise of
	    support.

This port was created using NT 4.0 (SP3) and MCVC++ 4.
It runs as a native Win32 console application.

I have not personally tested compatability with any other platform or
compiler, but others who have downloaded my port have informed me that
it works just as well with Win95. It should work fine with any Win32 C/C++
compiler (Borland, Symantec, IBM), I just haven't tested it.

Note that although this code will compile and run on any Win32 system,
I advise strongly against using Win95 to run an actual public MUD.
NT is far more stable an operating system than Win95 and much better
suited to the handling of many simultaneous logins.

Feel free to send me feedback or problem reports; just don't expect
me to solve your every problem - especially if it's not directly
related to my modifications. I do have to find time to make a living,
	    you know.

Due to my ISP's limit on web server space, I can include only the
source files and the various licenses here. If you do not have the
full ROM24 documentation and area files, please download the official
	    ROM24 release (Rom24b4a.tar.gz) from http://www.hypercube.org/tess/rom.

Although not tested extensively, my port should behave just like the
stock ROM distribution on any *nix system with an ANSI C compiler.
This release does not, however, support traditional C compilers.

If you run in to any compatability issues not mentioned here, please
let me know and I will add your notes to this file.
