Now that the legal stuff is out of the way, on with the show.

This utility is the standalone version of a utility that was to be included in an offline MUD editor. It saves me a lot of time looking up bit vectors in help files and printed sheets.

It should be of use to anyone who builds and/or codes on a mud, and I would be very ineterested to get your feedback on additional features that can be worked into the calculator.

This beta version was created as a rough draft to get it out there and opinions coming in, so have a play with it (the .ini file is very inefficient but very easy to add to) and let me know what you think.

As mentioned, the .ini file is a serious hack, and the next versions will change this to a binary record based system, which will require a built in value editor. I'm a bit loath to do that yet until the feature set is finalised, so bear with me.

Planned features:
  - varying the number of bits calculated (8 bit, 16 bit, 32bit)
  - integrated bit value / codebase editor
  - lots of mud-specific bit values built in (hopefully comprehensive coverage of major mud flavours)
