CreRemote for Windows v1.0-beta

CreRemote for Windows uses the Remote Creator Protocol (RCP)
to allow creators direct access to their files from their home
machines running Windows. It acts much as if the creator's
/realms directory was actually on their home machine. The
creator can edit, create, delete, update files in their
home directory.

This is a beta release. Right now it only works with Foundation
mudlib with SUB_REALMS defined, and right now only the
Idea Exchange supports the Remtoe Creator Protocol. The final
release will get rid of the hard coding of the home directory
so it can be exported to any mud using the RCP, which
is mudlib independent.

To install:

Copy all of the .dll files to your C:\windows\system dir (or
analagous dir). Copy the rest of the files together to some
other directory from which you wnat to run this application.

To use this, in your home directory on the Idea Exchange,
create a directory called adm. For example, for me,
/realms/d/descartes/adm. Then,
cp /realms/d/descartes/adm/remote.c to your adm dir.

On your home machine, run CreRemote. Choose MUDs|Edit from
the first menu, and create an entry for the Idea Exchange.
You do not need to enter the character name or password
fields, as you will be prompted for these if they do not exist.
If you do enter them, then they will be saved on your machine.

The proper port number for RCP for the Idea Exchange is port 7880.
