# THIS GAME RELIES UPON A MYSQL CONNECTION TO YOUR MUD. WHILE STILL POSSIBLE TO #
# RE-CODE THE GAME TO WORK WITHOUT A MYSQL CONNECTION, YOU WOULD HAVE TO BASICALLY #
# RE-WRITE THE ENTIRE GAME. SIMPLY PUT... IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MYSQL CONNECTION TO #
# YOUR MUD, DON'T EVEN TRY INSTALLING THIS GAME. #
#                                                                                  #

ALSO, THIS IS NOT FOR THE NEWBIE CODER TO TRY AND INSTALL. HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE NEW
TO CODING, GIVE IT A SHOT. No harm in trying, eh?

Okay, here we go... assuming now that you do in fact have a MySQL connection...

This was written for a side-project I'm doing that's based on an edited version of CircleMUD 3.1.
There will be some functions that are different from 'Stock' Circle, so I'll begin with mentioning those.

[  ::-NEW-::(MSGP)
[
[  Example:
[  MSGP(ch, 1, "It is now %s's turn.", GET_NAME(vict));
[
[
[  ::-STOCK-::(send_to_char)
[
[  Example:
[  send_to_char(ch, "It is now %s's turn.\r\n", GET_NAME(vict));

[  ::-NEW-::(xCOMMANDx)
[
[  Example:
[  xCOMMANDx(do_play)
[
[
[  ::-STOCK-::(ACMD)
[
[  Example:
[  ACMD(do_play)

[  ::-NEW-::(GET_PLR_ID(ch))
[
[  ::-STOCK-::(GET_IDNUM(ch))
[

In the included file (stuff.cpp) I've included the MSGP function if you want to use it, or you could just simply change all the MSGP calls to the old send_to_char function if you like. It's up to you of course.

There are a few new room and PRF player flags you'll need to add. Here they are:

    ROOM_ALCAZAR_GAME
    PLR_PLAYING_ALCAZAR

DISCLAIMER
-----------
I cannot guarantee that your MySQL functions are the same as mine. I'm certainly not going to walk you thru installing MySQL. However, if you already have a MUD that utilizes MySQL, I'm sure the functions are at least very similar and/or easy to change to fit your MUD. Also, let me be clear by stating that this code took me a long time to implement. YOU HAVE MY EXPLICIT PERMISSION TO RE-DISTRIBUTE, COPY, ALTER, ADD, DELETE, OR ANYTHING YOU SEE FIT WITH THIS CODE. I don't care if what you do with it. I only hope you have fun and other people have fun from you implementing it. This game is EXTREMELY addictive. Be prepared to spend countless hours playing and dueling.

SUPPORT
--------
I'll help out when and where I can. This is all custom built code by me, so I know it in and out and sideways. Having said that, I can also tell you that it's not "perfect". Sure, it works, but I also know that there are many areas I could have streamlined and saved space/memory. This was not coded with 'absolute effeciency' in mind. Also understand that to the best of my knowledge, I've coded all of the cards correctly in the play_the_cards function. I might have messed up on a few values though. Nothing that should crash the MUD, but simple stuff that might not quite alter the game score as intended. I've play-tested the game with about 10 full games, found a few discrepencies, and fixed them. Should you come across anything else that needs fixing, PLEASE let me know.

ADD, DELETE, CHANGE CARDS
-----
Adding, deleting, or changing cards is extremely easy. To add cards, simply add a new card to the database, make a 'case' for it in the play_the_cards function, then change the DECK_SIZE to reflect the newly added card. To remove cards, remove the card from the database, delete the 'case' for it in play_the_cards function, then change the DECK_SIZE to reflect the correct total cards you now have. To change a card, just change it in the database then reflect those changes wherever it is in your play_the_cards function.
