Name: Vehicle code for ROM/ROT.
Version: 2.10
Date: Nov 7, 1997

How to install the vehicle code.

1. Add 'vehicle.o' to the Makefile.

2. Copy the file vehicle.c to your source directory.

3. Edit act_move.c, and uncomment the functions do_north, do_south,
   do_west, do_east, do_up and do_down. These get replaced in vehicle.c.
(You might have to edit the functions in vehicle.c, for my version of
the code sends an extra FALSE to move_char().

4. Edit act_enter.c (or wherever your do_enter() for portals is), and
comment do_enter() out. This is also replaced in vehicle.c

5. Add a member OBJ_DATA * inside_of; to the structure ROOM_INDEX_DATA in
   merc.h

6. Add a new object type called 'vehicle' and ITEM_VEHICLE, to merc.h,
handler.c, db.c and other relevant places. This is used to differ
between protals and vehicles, since they both use the do_enter().
(the do_enter() in vehicle.c, that is)

7. add do_drive() to interp.h and interp.c

8. rm *.o;make rom(or rot or merc or whatever :)

9. Before rebooting, add a new object to any area file, make it type
'vehicle', and set the values according to the 'portal' object values.
Make sure to set the 'charges' to -1, and set the portal type flag to A.

Also, add a room, which is supposed to be the inside of the vehicle,
to an area this is the room, that the characters end up in, when
   entering the vehicle.

This should be all the needed steps to add the vehicle code to
your mud. I hope you have fun, and enjoy it.
